A 2-year Diploma Dental Surgery Assistant program imparts the requisite clinical practices in an appropriate and realistic two-year frame. The courses taught in this one encompass basic sciences, oral health sciences, psychology and anthropology, and other related professional studies with an emphasis on clinical practice and management, clinical.
Students are expected to have acquired the skill or the capability to practice dentistry in the most appropriate and least damaging manner while performing various dental aiding functions including, routine and orthodontic procedures, x-ray imaging, and provision of dental health promotion programs to the people.

Entry Qualification:

Fresh Candidates: SPM / ‘O’ Level or its equivalent with 5 Credits: Mathematic (Elementary/Modern/ Additional) and any one Science subjects: General Science/Applied Science or Biology or Chemistry or Physics and 3 other subjects
Those who already possess a Certificate in Dental Surgery Assistant will be given certain waivers. Their training period can be shortened by one year.
